Mixed Media on Board. 43.5 cm square
A layered, study in atmosphere, texture, and quiet movement. Painted in a loose, semi-abstract style, this work invites the viewer to linger and discover: soft washes of colour overlap with scratched and scored marks, while subtle gestures of line suggest landscape elements without prescribing a narrative. The palette balances cool, coastal greys and muted blues with warm, sandy neutrals, creating a sense of light and depth that changes with the room’s conditions.
Rachel builds each composition through multiple layers of acrylic, ink, and mixed media, allowing areas to emerge and recede. The result is both considered and spontaneous a painting that feels lived-in, yet contemporary.
Ideal for collectors who appreciate understated complexity and artworks that reward time spent looking. This painting suits modern interiors, coastal homes, or any space seeking a contemplative focal point. Signed by the artist and ready to hang , it is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Materials + Care
For original paintings: painted on canvas or board using acrylic, resin or mixed media. Hang away from direct sunlight and damp. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not clean with water or solvents. For canvas prints: printed on a poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish, scratch, crack and warp resistant. Wipe gently with a barely damp cloth if needed. For paper prints: printed on premium fine art paper. Handle with care — avoid moisture and direct sunlight to preserve colours.
