Rain Forest with Tropical Birds. Canvas Print
There are places that get inside you. Tobago’s rainforest is one of them dripping, layered, alive with colour and sound.   I felt completely absorbed.
This painting almost painted itself when I got home. The experience was so vivid, so immediate, that the marks came naturally the dense layering of leaf forms in teal, sage, rust and gold, the tropical birds half hidden in the canopy, the sense of light filtering through green upon green.

It has the energy of a place that is always growing, always moving and yet there is a deep calm at its heart too. It is the kind of painting that changes with the light, and rewards every glance.

For those who feel truly alive and in awe of the wonder of such places,  so much so that it graces their walls at home too.

Acrylic, collage and print build up a surface as rich and complex as the forest itself. The longer you look, the more you find.

Also available as a fine art paper print, or as an original painting.
Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
Handmade wooden frame from Italy.
