A pool of deep cobalt holds the centre, still, oval and quietly luminous, its surface scattered with tiny barnacle-like marks that speak of tidal life and rock and the particular texture of things worn smooth by water. A bold white boulder moves through the left of the canvas. Two small discs of gold catch the light like coins at the bottom of a clear pool.
This is a painting about the intimate scale of the coast: not the grand view from the clifftop but the small world you find when you crouch down and really look. The rock pool. The caught water. The quiet life happening in the margins.
Framed in natural oak and ready to hang, it brings the Cornish shoreline into any room with warmth, subtlety and depth.
Materials + Care
For original paintings: painted on canvas or board using acrylic, resin or mixed media. Hang away from direct sunlight and damp. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not clean with water or solvents. For canvas prints: printed on a poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish, scratch, crack and warp resistant. Wipe gently with a barely damp cloth if needed. For paper prints: printed on premium fine art paper. Handle with care — avoid moisture and direct sunlight to preserve colours.

UK delivery is free on original paintings up to 100cm. Larger or heavier works are delivered by specialist art courier for £75.
