During the last few weeks, I have been super busy helping set up, and be one of the artists, of this new amazing art gallery in Truro!

I am very excited to share my new art class with you, Wine, Art and Nibbles, taking place throughout the year! It will be lots of fun!

Last week I was invited back, for the third time, to deliver an art class to the lovely members of the Porthleven Art Club. The class took place at Porthleven Village Hall and it was an absolute pleasure to be back with this wonderful group of aspiring artists.

I’ve re-discovered an old mentor! Whilst looking at an art book this week, I saw a painting that resonated with me. It was by Michael Porter, an artist I admired 25 years ago whilst at college.

The process of using oil paints can be very confusing, so, I thought it would be good to share with you all how I like to use this medium, my tips and tricks and to debunk some oil paint myths along the way!

Every artist will have their own artistic process. These are my three stages, from gathering information to the final painting.
