“Predictable paintings bore me. The unpredictable excites me.”

Rachel Jeffery is a creative artist and educator from Cornwall. Since graduating at Falmouth School of Art, 30 years ago, she has developed her visual language, striving to connect with the places she loves to spend time in, be that her garden, sat at a local cove or travelling. It is her intention to convey the sense of a place rather than a reproduction of it. Working in a loose and often abstracted way she allows an image to evolve in layers and a variety of media.

She has exhibited widely, in group shows and solo shows locally in the UK. She also enjoys teaching and curating exhibitions. Rachel has collectors in the USA and Germany and many regular purchasers in the UK.
